| INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE FESTIVAL | ||||||
6th International Folk Dance and Song Festival in Belgrade from 9th till 15th July 2010 within the C.I.O.F.F. network of festivals is organized under auspices of the Municipality of Belgrade. Ten companies from abroad and five companies from Serbia will present traditional dances and songs from their communities. |

Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, will again welcome young artists who will communicate with local audience in universal language of their folk art. The guest companies will live in premises of student's hostel and will have opportunity to meet new friends. Belgrade welcomes them all !!! |

Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Because of its position on the intersection of roads, on the place where civilizations clashed, it was completely demolished 40 times, like no other capital. The name of Belgrade means “White City”. It was also called “the mount for thinking” Belgrade is situated on the confluence of the Sava and the Danube. Night-life is one of the things that has made Belgrade famous and it probably leaves the strongest impression on first-time visitors to the city. The reasons for that are the spirit of Belgraders and positive atmosphere that make you feel as if you are at your friend’s home.
